Sitearc is built on OpenSEO by Every, under the MIT license.

We keep the upstream code current. We add the closed loop, the connectors, and the managed hosting described in these docs. The MIT license and its notice ship with the source.

What came from upstream

Substantial portions come from that project. The DataForSEO client, the MCP server, the database schema and the web application all originate there.

The original licence text is retained, unmodified, in the repository.

That is a real dependency, not a footnote. Starting from working code is why the research surfaces existed before the loop did.

What is not implied

Sitearc does not track the OpenSEO repository. It is a fork that diverged, not a distribution that follows.

Sitearc is not affiliated with Every and is not endorsed by them. Naming a project you built on is attribution. It is not a claim of partnership.

What we added

The loop is ours. Proposals carry evidence, a concrete change, and a prediction.

So are the approval boundary, the refusals, the measurement window, the cohort and holdout, and the computed verdict.

So is the tier ladder as a rule rather than a convention. Nothing should render without a source tier.

So are the connectors and the managed plans around them.

Why this page exists

A hosted product can hide its dependencies behind a domain name. Most do.

This page exists because every important claim should have a source. If you cannot check where something came from, you are trusting a claim rather than reading a fact.

The stack underneath

The application runs on React and TanStack Router, with Drizzle over Postgres. The agent surface uses the Model Context Protocol SDK.

Search data comes from DataForSEO through their client. Charts are Recharts. Styling is Tailwind and daisyUI. Authentication is Better Auth.

This marketing site is Astro, with no framework components and no client JavaScript beyond what a page needs.

Each dependency keeps its own licence. The list is here rather than buried in a lockfile because that is what credit means.

Self-hosting

The application can be run on your own infrastructure. The software is free.

You provide infrastructure, jobs, backups, monitoring, and maintenance. You also connect only the providers your chosen features need.

Forms do not require SEO or model provider accounts. SEO research needs a search data provider. Search Console and Analytics need Google OAuth. Model features need a model provider or your own key.

The hosted service adds managed infrastructure and provider operations. Free starts with one managed site. Pro is $12 per active site/month when billing opens. Self-hosting moves those responsibilities to you.

Reporting a problem with attribution

If you maintain something we depend on and this page gets the credit wrong, tell us.

A wrong attribution is a bug, and it gets fixed like one.
